From its modest beginnings, the department has grown steadily and now caters to a student strength of 386, supported by a strong team of 12 qualified and dedicated faculty members. The department emphasizes industry-integrated learning through regular guest lectures by industry experts, industrial visits, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed organizations such as NISM, EDIFY-EDTECH, and MSME, thereby enhancing students practical exposure, professional skills and employability.
The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programme is a three-year undergraduate course designed to provide students with a strong foundation in commerce, accounting, finance, taxation, management and economics. The programme equips students with analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills essential for careers in business, finance and public services.
The curriculum encourages students to pursue professional courses such as Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) and higher studies alongside their degree programme.
